Mandatory Sessions

Three Sessions. Six Hours. · In Person

Session 1 · 2 Hours

The Business of Art

Basic finances of an art show — understanding demand, sales strategy, and profit

Professional skills — marketing, presentation, and communication

Basics of art: color, graphic design, media, and visual storytelling

Session 2 · 2 Hours

The Art of Zen

Mental health basics & LGBTQ+ specific experiences and challenges

Emotional awareness, regulation, and building self-worth

Healthy coping strategies and building lasting support systems

Session 3 · 2 Hours

The Art of Relationships

Foundations of healthy relationships and honest communication

Boundaries, consent, and LGBTQ+-specific relational dynamics

Building supportive networks and cultivating lasting self-worth

Eligibility

Who Should Apply

16–24 years old, identifying as LGBTQ+, an amateur artist ready to share their story. No prior exhibition experience required.

Artists must commit to:

1

Produce the required artwork within 30 days of being accepted

Prepare a six-minute recording to accompany and narrate their art

3

Attend all three two-hour sessions in the required curriculum

4

Attend at least five of the ten one-hour after-show receptions

The Application

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Cohorts are limited to ten to twelve artists. We strongly encourage early applications.
